ENCRYPTED (c) Argus456 | Dreamstime.comIf individuals and companies are to have confidence in online trading it must be seen to be secure.

Encryption, using a public/private key pair, which will be explained later, provides this confidence by:

  • identifying senders - your private key uniquely identifies you
  • authenticating message content - your public key verifies the data hasn't been tampered with in transit
  • preventing denial of ownership - the key pair is registered to yourself
  • protecting privacy - messages can't be read by third parties.
