Event viewer maintains logs about programs, security and system events on your computer. With Event viewer you can view and manage the event logs, gather information about hardware and software problems, and monitor Windows security events.

Event viewer can be accessed by clicking on Start | Control Panel | Administrative Tools | Event Viewer
