Dynamic HTML (DHTML)

DHTML allows the user to combine HTML, Scripts and Style sheets to control elements within the browser. Here is an example, which displays a pop up message when the page loads; note that it combines HTML and JavaScript to produce the effect:

<html>
   <head>
      <script type="text/javascript">
         function mymessage()
         {alert("This message was triggered from the onload event")}
      </script>
   </head>
   <body onload="mymessage()">
   </body>
</html>
