Keep Operating System Current

Just as we must keep virus definitions current to detect harmful software, we also must keep operating system software patches current as the holes that these patches will fill are certain to be exploited by these harmful programs. New operating system vulnerabilities are found almost daily, but fortunately, Microsoft provides the Software Update Service that can be used to update systems automatically in real time.
