The Electromagnetic Spectrum

The electromagnetic spectrum is made up of waves that consist of two components:

- An electrical component

- A magnetic component

These waves travel through air and space as well as other substances.

The electrical and magnetic fields of the wave vibrate at right angles to each other and from the direction the wave is travelling. As the electrical component increases so the magnetic component decreases. As the magnetic component increases so the electrical component decreases.
