Electromagnetic Spectrum Visualised

Electromagnetic waves are often referred to as electromagnetic radiation because they radiate from electrically charged particles.
EM radiation is classified by its wavelength into radio, microwaves, infrared, visible light, ultraviolet, X-Rays and Gamma rays. Electromagnetic radiation has been utilised for many purposes including radio transmission, microwave communications and medical technologies.
