F1VT 34: Interactive Media: Authoring
This Unit focuses on the implementation, testing and evaluation of a software solution. It is designed to enable candidates to develop knowledge and skills of authoring of an interactive media application, website or contributory media element. It is envisaged that this Unit may be delivered in conjunction with, or following, a relevant planning Unit such as the HN Unit A99A 99 Interactive Media: Planning.
On completion of the Unit the candidate should be able to:
1. Create a screen-based prototype based on a requirements and design specification.2. Iplement a software solution.
3. Test the solution.
4. Deploy the solution.
5. Evaluate the solution.

2 HN Credit at SCQF level 7: (16 SCQF credit points at SCQF level 7)
Recommended prior knowledge and skills
Access to this Unit will be at the discretion of the Centre. It is recommended that candidates have the core skill of Problem Solving at Higher and prior experience of planning for the development of a software solution. This may be evidenced by the possession the HN Unit A99A 99 Interactive Media: Planning, similar Unit, relevant National Units or comparable competence gained informally or by suitable work experience.
