Security threats
Ever since the dawn of the Internet, there have been individuals who have found pleasure in the challenge of gaining unauthorised access to networks and servers on the Internet. These individuals, known as hackers and crackers, pose a significant security threat.
The more recent commercialisation of the Internet has seen an increase in the range and variety of threats. Indeed, some organisations employ teams of specialists to research and develop means of encouraging you to go to their sites. Some of their methods may well have questionable legality.
Nowadays, criminal organisations "employ" teams of specialists to take advantage of any potential security vulnerabilities.
