Oracle Scotland has been recognised with a coveted 'Big Tick' in the Business in the Community Awards for Excellence for its local delivery of the global Oracle Academy programme - an innovative educational programme. Oracle Scotland received a 'Big Tick' in the Merrill Lynch Raising Achievement in Young People category.
VCampus (OTCBB: VCMP.OB), owner of ComputerPREP, announced today a partnership with the Digital media and ICT Vendor Alliance (DIVA), a program of the Scottish Qualifications Authority (SQA). ComputerPREP is the eleventh global technology company to join the groundbreaking DIVA program to enrich the Scottish curriculum for learners in schools and colleges.
A report by the Cisco Development Centre in Scotland, part of the SQA DIVA programme, was today officially published after a preview at the SQA Heads of Centre meeting in Stirling on 1st February.
Cally Beck, UK Program Manager of the IBM System i Academic Program, visited the SQA Heads of Centre meeting at the Scottish Further Education Unit conference centre in Stirling on 1st February to launch the new SQA IBM partnership activity.
Colin Maxwell at Adam Smith College has created three units corresponding to the Digital Design course for a new SQA National Certificate award at SCQF 5 (Intermediate level 2).

On 6 June 2006, DIVA held the first Skills Forum for Digital Home Technologies. The purpose of the forum is to look at the implications of the 'connected home' and 'connected office/public building' for courses and awards in the Construction, Building Services and Electrical areas.
