Achievement Counts - A Short Guide to the SCQF
You will start to become aware of the SCQF as it now features on your SQA Scottish Qualifications Certificate issued every August. This leaflet tells you why this is happening and how you will benefit.

This guide provides an overview of the Scottish Credit and Qualifications Framework (SCQF) and its main features. It also describes how the framework will help to address issues regarding lifelong learning and increasing participation in education.

SCQF Level Descriptors (170 KB)
Levels two to 12 of the Framework are explained in more detail in these general level descriptors. These descriptors will be revised in due course.

SCQF Postcard (154 KB) 
SQA has revised the postcard size ready reckoner to show SQA’s new and revised port folio of qualifications. The reckoner shows SQA qualifications against the levels of the SCQF and the credit points allocated to them. Hard Copies of the Postcard will be available from April 2007.
