Welcome to the subject homepage for SVQs in Supply Chain Management.

SQA offers Supply Chain Management at Level 2, 3, 4 and 5. These awards have been developed from the standards produced by the Sector Skills Council.

On this subject homepage, you will find information relating to the structure of each award and support materials. We hope that you find this information interesting and useful.

News and Announcements

SQA currently offers a suite of SVQs in Supply Chain Management at four different levels:

Supply Chain Management Level 2 (G881 22)
Supply Chain Management Level 3 (G882 23)
Supply Chain Management Level 4 (G883 24)
Supply Chain Management Level 5 (G885 25)

These awards have been extended until 31 December 2013.

Supply Chain Management (SCM) is about managing the flow of information, materials, services and money across any activity, in a way which maximises the effectiveness of the process.

The SVQs in Supply Chain Management are intended for people in the Supply Chain, be it large or small.

The Information Sheets and structures for the SVQs can also be made available on request. The Assessment Guidance is available in two parts, (please click on the assessors guidance tab below). Part One relates to Assessment Guidance and Assessor's Guidelines for the Mandatory Units. Part two relates to Assessment Guidance for the Optional Units, although this Guidance is subject to further editing.

National Progression Awards (NPAs)

There are currently two NPAs in the Supply Chain and Logistics sector:

NPA in Supply Chain Operations at SCQF level 5 (G93X 45) which is recommended for new entrants to the logistics sector.
NPA in Food Safety Logistics at SCQF level 5 (GA17 45)
