Welcome to the Financial Services subject homepage. The SVQ qualifications in Financial Services are based on the National Occupational Standards set and published by the Financial Services Skills Council (FSSC). FSSC wrote and reviewed the standards after consultation with employers, chartered bodies and training providers.
The standards set out a statement of competence which brings together the skills, knowledge and understanding required to undertake specific work activities in financial services. The standards provide an accurate and detailed definition of what candidates must know, understand and be able to do in order to be judged competent.
SQA awards the SVQ Providing Financial Services level 2 and SVQ Providing Financial Services level 3.
