Your first port of call for all enquiries is the Customer Contact Centre. If you want general information about the Scottish Qualifications Authority and its qualifications, or if you have a more complex query but are not sure who you should speak to, our friendly advisors are there to help and assist. If they don't know the answer, they will know a person who does.

For information on approval to offer our qualifications, or to obtain a copy of our 'approved centre' logo for your marketing literature.
All centres which are approved to offer our qualifications are entitled to use our approved centre logo on all their promotional literature, letterheads etc. If you are an approved centre and haven't already requested a copy of the logo, you can do so by phoning our Approval and Audit Section on 0845 213 5351.

SQA-RED - The Scottish Qualifications Authority's Candidate Registrations and Entries Database System

SQA-RED is a database system which SQA makes available to centres for managing their candidate registration and entries data. The system does away with paper forms and uses a two way transfer of electronic files to maintain compatibility between the candidate data held by the centre and the data held by SQA.
The system deals with all of the qualification types offered by SQA and is therefore suitable for any type of centre. SQA provides the system free of charge, with full technical support and will preload each database with all of the candidate and approval data which SQA holds for the centre.
