Season ticket loans

As an SQA member of staff you can access an interest-free loan to purchase a season ticket for rail or bus from home to your site of work. The loan will normally be recovered in equal monthly installments deducted from pay. In the event of you leaving SQA, any outstanding balance will immediately become repayable and will be deducted from your final salary payment. You will be required to provide evidence that the advance has been applied for the purpose intended. Applications can be made by contacting HR.

Christmas savings scheme

In November each year staff can elect to have a monthly sum deducted from their salary for a year and the lump sum accumulated paid back in their December salary. There is no accrual of interest, but the scheme does not allow access to the lump sum until the December salary, making saving for Christmas a little easier!
