A letter to centres issued October 2008 is now available to download from the update letters page.
A minor review has been undertaken on National Courses in RMPS at Intermediate 1, Intermediate 2 and Higher levels. The revised Courses are scheduled for implementation in August 2009, and will replace the current NQ Courses which will finish on 31 July 2009. The Advanced Higher Course which has not changed since 1999 has also been undergoing a review. While there are a number of changes at this level, none could be said to be major.
In addition to detailed information sent out in August, launch seminars will be held on the following dates:
These events will include a discussion on the changes to assessment (internal and external), changes to Course structure and the revised content at each level of the Course. All events are free of charge and therefore limited to one member of staff per centre (numbers permitting). The afternoon session will focus solely on the changes to Advanced Higher. Lunch will be served at 12pm at each event to allow teachers who do not deliver at this level to leave at this point.
In order to book a place, please contact Patricia Hanlon (e-mail: patricia.hanlon@sqa.org.uk) indicating which venue you would prefer.
