This section of the website provides access to a collection of Powerpoint* presentations known as Virtual Classroom Tours (VCTs). Each VCT provides information about the successful adoption of ICT in teaching and learning by a classroom teacher. Hopefully the reader of these success stories will find inspiration for their own work in the classroom and in this way help in the adoption and spread of good practice. A VCT tells the story of the planning and resources required in each of the projects, along with information about the pupil experience.
Read more about the structure and purpose of a VCT.
These VCTs originate from two separate projects both promoting grass roots innovation in the use of ICT in teaching and learning. Each collection of VCTs is organised by school sector: Secondary; Primary; Nursery and Special. A brief description is provided for each VCT to help identify the topic area or theme that is presented in the VCT.
*If you do not have access to Microsoft Powerpoint software, you can still view these presentations by downloading a Powerpoint reader.
In each of the months of February, March, April, May and June 2008, a prize of £200 will be awarded by SQA/Microsoft Partners in Learning to a user of this site.
