The achievements of the best of Scottish education and training honoured at SQA Award Ceremony.
The 2007 SQA star awards were recently held at Glasgow's Radisson Hotel, in a glittering evening reception that celebrated the success, triumph, achievement and recognition of the best in Scottish education and training. Finalists selected from a record number of entries were brought together for a truly star-studded occasion, hosted by Kaye Adams.
The SQA star awards could not be possible without the generous support of our sponsors, who enable us to recognise and reward those individuals and establishments who have demonstrated excellence and whose achievements we are delighted to be able to celebrate each year. More about our sponsors...
The standard of entry in this year's awards was extremely high and our judging panel had the difficult task of selecting finalists in each category. All those who made it to the ceremony should take enormous pride in their achievements. Congratulations to them all.

The evening's entertainment featured performances from Jazz Art UK, showcasing students working for Intermediate 2, Higher and Advanced Higher Dance, including the two youngest students to pass Higher Dance at age 13! The young traditional musicians from Fèis Rois Cèilidh Trail got our feet tapping with their jigs and reels taught through a trailblazing annual programme of classes and festivals. And the Dance Department from Anniesland College performed their award-winning student-developed piece Jump Off, which scooped first prize (Hip Hop) at the International Dance Grand Prix in Barcelona this year.
