Induction Guide for Centre Staff

These Induction Guides have been developed for new teachers/lecturers. They provide a flavour of the Scottish Qualifications Authority (SQA) and what we do. They answer the questions most frequently raised by you and give some broad pointers to further reading.

Website Key

The following key will help you identify the various types of links and documents available on SQA's website. Most documents will require specific software so that they can be viewed, and if you encounter any difficulties you should first seek the assistance of your IT staff.

	E-mail address This is normally only used if a name appears as an e-mail link, as opposed to an actual e-mail address.
	Your attention required This can indicate information that it is important for you to read, or a field in a form that requires an entry before it can be sent.
	Adobe Acrobat PDF document Most documents on SQA's website are in this format as they can be viewed on Windows or Macintosh computers. There is a link to the Adobe website available at the bottom of most web pages on SQA's website, allowing you to download the latest version of Adobe Acrobat Reader, free of charge.
