Becoming an approved centre
Any business or company that wished to deliver SQA qualifications must first seek approval to become an SQA centre. Find out how this process works and contact our Business Developemnt and Customer Support team set up approval for your centre.
PACE
PACE (Partnership Action for Continuing Employment) is the Scottish Government's national strategic partnership framework for responding to redundancy situations. It ensures that public sector agencies respond to potential and proposed large-scale and small-scale redundancies as quickly and effectively as possible.
Continuing Professional Development
Continuing Professional Development (CPD) is the process of developing and upgrading skills and knowledge to ensure they are relevant to current employment demands and future employment possibilities. SQA is committed to supporting and enhancing Continuing Professional Development for our own staff, our Appointees, and all staff at our approved centres.

Employability, enterprise and entrepreneurship are essential features in qualification development and, as the national awarding body for Scotland, SQA is committed to ensuring its qualifications reflect the importance of these in order to meet the needs of learners, employers and the Scottish economy.
