Progression and employment

There are employment opportunities in a range of jobs, such as upholsterer, furniture restorer, cabinet maker, or furniture designer. Employment in this industry is generally in small organisations.

There is a history of people progressing from this HNC into the 2nd and 3rd year of degree courses. These arrangements have been built up by centres and candidates individually. Entry qualifications and articulation requirements for degree courses vary significantly, and you should check with your centre and any university you are interested in before you choose your optional Units.
