Arts and Humanities

On the 18th of January 2008 SQA held a second seminar for centres interested in the development of National Qualification Group Award(s) in the Arts and Humanities area. (The first seminar took place in spring 2007.)

Feedback from the seminar is currently being collated and a summary of the discussions from the day will be posted on the website as soon as possible.  However, it is not too late to contribute your thoughts!

Please find below a copy of the presentation that was given on the day and a copy of the material that was used within the workshop groups.

We would be delighted to receive your comments on how an award in the Arts and Humanities area at SCQF 5 could work for your centre.  The workshop task sheet outlines the key areas that we would be interested in hearing your views on.

We would also like to hear from colleagues within centres who would be interested in being involved in the Qualifications Design Team (QDT)* or would be like to be involved in Unit Writing.

* The QDT works in conjunction with a Qualification Manager/Development Manager to steer the development of the National Qualification Group Award from its inception/revision through to  validation.  The group is made up of key stakeholders representing the interests of centres, employers, Sector Skills Councils, universities and other relevant organisations.
