It has been brought to our attention that there is some clarification required in two of the Unit specifications for this award, namely Physiology for Health Care Professionals (DR3P 34) and Calculations and Practical Techniques in Health Care (F0K9 34). To ensure consistency across all centres the following Interim Guidance has been devised:
Physiology for Health Care Professionals (DR3P 34): If the assessment tool used for part of this Unit is multiple choice questions, candidates must achieve 90% to pass this Unit. This pass mark will also be reflected within the SOLAR materials.
Calculations and Practical Techniques in Health Care (F0K9 34): The use of calculators is not permitted in the assessment of this Unit.
All External Verifiers have been notified that this Interim Guidance should be followed until the QST is convened in the summer of 2008. The Qualification Support Team's role is to review the award and its component parts.
