Wider Achievement

In addition to the new National Courses, there are other types of National Qualifications which support the values, purposes and principles of CfE.

Skills for Work Courses are Courses which encourage learners to become familiar with the world of work.

National Progression Awards are flexible qualifications which are aimed at assessing a defined set of skills and knowledge in specialist vocational areas.

National Certificates are group awards which are designed to prepare learners for employment, career development or progression to more advanced study for example, at HNC/HND level.

Awards offer young people another way of recognising their achievements in school, collge or community-based learning.

We are developing a number of new Awards along with the new qualifications.

We also have a number of existing Awards which can help you to meet the values, purpose and principles of Curriculum for Excellence.
