We have changed our timescales for appointing Principal Assessors and examining team members

This is the latest initiative by the SQAFair Action Group in Dalkeith to promote Fairtrade. Please support us - read the leaflets and help yourself to the snacks!

Work to develop the new national qualifications, which will support Curriculum for Excellence, is well underway and stakeholders have the opportunity to be directly involved in the qualifications development process.
Flight Disruption - Exams Advice
We are monitoring the current flight disruption situation closely.
This year all National Qualifications candidates will receive their results by post on Thursday 5 August 2010. But candidates registering for MySQA can receive theirs the day before on Wednesday 4 August 2010.
Plans to relocate SQA's Midlothian accommodation from Dalkeith to new, fit-for-purpose facilities at Shawfair Park, also in Midlothian, have been given the go ahead.
SQA will lease 54,950 square feet at Shawfair Park from Buccleuch Property, on a 15 year lease.
Our Principal Assessors (PAs) recently attended a one-day information event which included workshops on a range of topics from Curriculum for Excellence to performance measures for PAs and Markers.
SQA Academy is a tool which has been developed to extend and enhance the training and development opportunities of those who contribute to the assessment processes that underpin SQA qualifications.
SQA's work to develop the next generation of national qualifications to support Curriculum for Excellence is well underway and Progress Reports for each curriculum area will soon be live on the SQA website.
During March and April we held five training events for new Chief Invigilators (CIs) in our Dalkeith offices.
