The Intermediate 1 qualification in Accounting gives learners crucial skills and knowledge to access, understand and contribute to the modern business world.
They will be able to handle financial information but will also receive a basic grounding in interpretation and analysis. Learners will be able to think logically, apply accounting principles and develop their decision-making skills. They will understand how these disciplines apply to the real world.
The course covers both financial and management accounting, allowing candidates to calculate the principal elements of cost, prepare statements, apply break-even analysis techniques and understand the benefits of using information technology.
The Intermediate 1 Accounting Course is at SCQF level 4.
