The Higher qualification in Economics focuses on the basic economic problem of the allocation of scarce resources and the use of theory to explain economic issues. It gives an understanding of the decisions which affect markets and living conditions in Scotland, the UK and the world.
Learners will develop the skills necessary to analyse economic change through the application of economic theory. They will also be able to think logically about the subject and communicate relevant information clearly.
The Higher Economics Course is at SCQF level 6.
