The Higher qualification in Computing deepens knowledge and understanding of computer concepts and encourages awareness of technological development and progress, factors affecting system performance, and syntax and semantics. Topics of study include data representation, computer structure, peripherals, networking and software.
Learners acquire knowledge and skills in developing software through the use of a high level programming language. The course encourages them to make judgments, assess and compare ideas, and evaluate data.

Over the summer months, we have been working to make the full range of Computing and Computing Studies NABs at Intermediate 1, Intermediate 2 and Higher levels available online. We are pleased to say that this work is now complete and we can offer these e-NABs to centres wishing to use online summative assessments with students.
The following pages detail NAB materials available from SQA. These packs - for teachers'/lecturers' use only -contain instruments of assessment, marking guidelines and other useful information relating to internal assessment.
