
The Intermediate 1 qualification in Cantonese offers learners the opportunity to study the language in a variety of defined, real or realistic contexts. They will learn to communicate in Cantonese through reading, listening, speaking and writing.
The course develops skills in understanding basic spoken texts, giving information about oneself in Cantonese, and asking and answering questions. Learners also develop skills in reading basic texts and undertaking straightforward writing tasks.
The Intermediate 1 Cantonese Course is at SCQF level 4.
