Higher Cantonese

Higher Cantonese

The Higher qualification in Cantonese offers learners the opportunity to reach a stage which begins to allow them to use the language independently in confident and flexible ways. The course aims to develop communicative competence to a level of some sophistication.

Learners develop the relevant skills and competences within the context of lifestyles, education and work, and the wider world. The course offers extended opportunities to apply developing skills in translation, as well as the possibility of acquiring greater fluency, flexibility and accuracy in the language.

The Higher Cantonese Course is at SCQF level 6.
