Intermediate 1 French

Intermediate 1 French

The Intermediate 1 qualification in French aims to give learners the ability to use basic language skills meaningfully for a range of purposes. The course allows learners to demonstrate that they can remember work completed some time previously, and to use and recognise familiar language in new contexts. It promotes the acquisition and progressive development of basic communicative competence in French.

Learners gain skills in communicating through the skills of Reading, Listening, Speaking and Writing. The course also offers opportunities to use French for social interaction, for everyday practical purposes, and at work.

The Intermediate 1 French Course is at SCQF level 4.
