Advanced Higher Dissertation Referencing Guidance

Advanced Higher Dissertation Referencing Guidance is available - pleases use this to ensure that candidates are able to provide an adequate record of all sources used in their dissertation.

Revised Arrangement Documents

The Course content sections of the Home Economics Arrangement documents have been revised to remove obsolete public bodies/organisations and outdated legislation.

Please note that the Trade Descriptions Act has been removed from the Arrangements documents and replaced with the Consumer Protection from Unfair Trading Regulations where appropriate (if a candidate uses the Trade Descriptions Act as a answer for the 2012 examinations they will not be disadvantaged). A detailed summary of the updates can be found on page 2 of the Arrangements documents.

QMS have recently published a revised and updated ‘Chefs guide’, which offers both budding and professional chefs an insight into the whole Scottish production chain from farm gate to dinner plate.
