
The Access 3 qualification Home Economics: Fashion and Textile Technology covers the development and organisation of craft skills, and an introduction to the fashion and textile industry. The course encourages imagination and creativity in the preparation and making of textile products.
The Access 3 qualification Home Economics: Health and Food Technology introduces learners to healthy cooking, food product development and kitchen technology. The course focuses on safe and hygienic food preparation and develops evaluation skills.
The Access 3 qualification Home Economics: Lifestyle and Consumer Technology covers healthy eating and the development of food preparation skills. The course aims to develop knowledge and understanding of the requirements for parenting and child development. It also offers learners opportunities to develop and use specialist textile craft skills.
The Access 3 Home Economics Courses are at SCQF level 3.
