The Intermediate 2 qualification in Media Studies teaches learners how to take apart media texts in order to explain reasons underlying messages communicated by the media industries to their audiences. It develops planning and production skills using media technology.
In addition, working on their own production lets learners appreciate some of the constraints and freedoms open to media professionals. They learn to consider the effects of products on consumers, and to understand the limitations and opportunities of media technology.
The Intermediate 2 Media Studies Course is at SCQF level 5.
