Accreditation Update

The Accreditation Update contains information on all qualifications currently accredited. This publication was previously named the SVQ Update but is no longer limited to one type of qualification and now covers a wide variety. Here you can find out information regarding recent accreditation decisions made by the Accreditation Coordination Group (ACG), a current listing of all qualifications and core skills, the SVQ Annual Report, qualification statistics and awarding body and sector contact details.

SVQ Update Report 2009

The SVQ Update Report 2009 outlines the registration and certification statistics, by sector skills council, qualification title and level regardless of awarding arrangement, for those SVQs with candidate activity, for the year 2009 (SVQs which were live across this period and which have been omitted may be assumed to have a zero uptake).

The figures shown have been produced using data provided to the Accreditation Unit by the respective awarding bodies themselves. This report will be published on an annual basis to provide an informed insight into qualification performance, by sector, qualification title and level, across all accredited awarding bodies.

This report can only be produced for SVQs, as information on the uptake of regulatory and NOS based qualifications is not collected by SQA Accreditation at present.

(NB: It should be noted that these qualification statistics will differ from those published in SQA’s Annual Report due to their nature and content.)
