The following guidance will help you make the most of this website.
SQA's homepage allows you to remove, add and arrange the panels that appear, so that the information you require is easily accessible each time you return to the site.
Watch the video demonstrating how to customise the homepage or read on for more details.
Click and hold on a panel header. You can then drag the panel around the homepage, and release the mouse button to position it where you would like it to appear. Many panels have extra options to allow you to filter or specify what content they contain. You can select these options using the 'EDIT' icon, and save your preferences using the 'Save' button.
A panel can be minimised by selecting the arrow on the left side of the panel header. This means that the contents of the panel will not appear, but the panel header will still be visible on the homepage. Select the arrow again to display the contents of the panel.
If a panel is of no interest or use to you, it can be removed from the homepage by selecting the close 'X' icon in the top right hand corner. A panel can be restored at any time by opening the 'Customise homepage' panel in the top right hand corner of the homepage, and placing a tick next to the panel you wish to restore. Use 'Save and close this panel' to save your preferences and close the panel.

The news panel lists the most recent items in the news sections of our website. This can also be customised to only show the news for sections you are interested in. Pressing the 'EDIT' button brings up a list of news areas.
You can then select whether you wish the panel to display all SQA news, or filter down to only news items relating to Accreditation, Baccalaureates or Curriculum for Excellence. Pressing 'Save' will save and close the edit panel, and your preferences will be stored for the next time you return to the site.

The myLinks panel can be used to list the specific pages you use most often.
When browsing the site, you'll notice there's an 'Add to MyLinks' button in the top right hand corner of each page.
When you find a page that you wish to have in the MyLinks panel, select the 'Add to MyLinks' button. Now each time you return to the homepage, the requested page will appear in the MyLinks panel.
If you discover you have no more use for a link in the panel, select the 'EDIT' button and select the 'X' icon next to the relevant link in the list.
We have introduced a new navigation bar at the top of every page on the site. This provides quick links to the main areas: 'I am a...', 'How do I...', Subjects, Qualifications, Accreditation, About SQA, and More.
You can select a main tab to go to that section's homepage, or hover over a tab and drill down to one of the sub-sections.
The new subject homepage allows you to search for specific subjects across all the qualification areas. You can search all qualifications beginning with a specific letter, or search by a subject name. The results are listed alphabetically and incorporate the relevant SCQF level. You can also list the results by subject name, qualification type and SCQF level, by selecing the relevant heading in the results table.
We have a new Qualifications section, which lists and describes all the qualification types in our portfolio and allows easy linking to the qualification area you are interested in.
Our new 'I am a...' section allows specific types of people to find information relevant to them more easily. There are lists of useful links and resources for different users of the site. Whether you are a school pupil or a college Co-ordinator - you should find all the information you require here.
Our new How do I? section is a list of common tasks that people most often use the site for. If you are a Co-ordinator trying to update the contact details for your centre, or a candidate trying to find advice on appeals — you'll find the answer here.
