Success for customer service qualification at National HR Awards
SQA’s Customer Service Professional qualifications assist in the professional development of all customer-facing local authority staff.
The courses are recognised nationally by COSLA and are certificated by SQA. There are two levels: Award and Certificate. Both are customised awards. A third, more advanced level, is being developed as a Professional Development Award (PDA).
Developed through a partnership between Renfrewshire Council, the Improvement Service, SQA and eComScotland, the qualification is currently being delivered by 16 of the 32 councils in Scotland, with more coming on board soon.
The success of the project was recognised at the third HR Network Scotland National Awards in November. The partnership won the 'Strategic People Development Project of the Year' award.
