Showing Racism the Red Card

annual Anti-Racism Creative Competition organised by Show Racism the Red Card

Pupils from schools and colleges across Scotland joined with major names from the world of Scottish Football at Hampden Park in March, to stand united against racism. The pupils met with stars of Scottish football to celebrate the winning entries in the annual Anti-Racism Creative Competition organised by Show Racism the Red Card in partnership with SQA. Hundreds of schools and thousands of pupils took part in the competition to send a clear message that the nation's young people want Scotland to be a welcoming and multi-cultural society.

Our Chief Executive, Dr Janet Brown said, 'SQA is delighted to support the Show Racism the Red Card Campaign and this creative competition. SQA is committed to promoting a fair and inclusive Scotland. The competition has been a great success and has showcased the great talent and imagination in Scotland's schools and colleges and the very clear message that racism has no place in Scotland. I congratulate everyone who has taken part in the competition and thank all the teachers and lecturers who have supported this important initiative.'
