Who are your ‘appointee stars’ of 2010? Tell us today.

Every year SQA celebrates the success, triumph, achievement and recognition of the very best in Scottish education and training at our Star Awards ceremony.

One of the categories we are seeking nominations for is the Appointee of the Year Award.

Every year we rely on the professional service provided by around 15,000 appointees, undertaking a wide range of tasks. The Appointee of the Year category is open to all SQA appointees — Principal Assessors, markers, verifiers, setters, vetters, and invigilators.

The award acknowledges appointees who have demonstrated outstanding commitment to SQA over time.

Last year the award was won by Margaret Graham from Oilean Ltd in Auchterderran.

Margaret’s nomination said,
‘Margaret has been nominated in acknowledgement of the contribution and support she has given to Oilean Ltd as an External Verifier. Margaret’s experience and commitment to the care sector and SQA has been evident throughout her career. Margaret is passionate about education for people coming to work in the care profession.’
