Qualifications Design Teams (QDTs)

We have 42 Qualifications Design Teams (QDTs) working on the design of qualifications within individual subjects such as Physics, History, English, Music etc.

They are made up of nominated subject experts, from Local Authorities, colleges, universities and employers.

The QDTs have an important part to play in offering their insights, advice and guidance in their specific subject areas and provide a forum for specialists to evaluate draft arrangements, specifications and support material.

The QDTs work to the strategic guidance of the Curriculum Area Review Groups (CARGs). Subjects will be taken forward in QDTs based on the brief and rationale from the review group. Some subjects (for example Administration and IT, Media and Environmental Science) will draw on more than one curriculum group, as appropriate. An overview of the membership (198 KB) is available here.
