Result Re-instatements

If a centre identifies an error with a processed candidate result a Result Reinstatement Form should be completed and returned to candidate.records@sqa.org.uk. The incorrect result will be removed creating an open entry for the centre to send the correct result using the normal method of data transfer.

Fails or withdrawals submitted in error will not be reinstated but should be re-entered and resulted using the normal method of data transfer.

The centre should inform the candidate of the outcome of any decision to change results and, where appropriate, retrieve the inaccurate certificate and return to SQA, if possible. A new certificate will be issued to the candidate, if appropriate.

The current policy does not charge for the Result Re-instatement process.
