SQA Champion

The SQA Champion Award, sponsored by Youthlink Scotland, recognises staff in centres who champion SQA qualifications and can be awarded to anyone who supports candidates to achieve their full potential.

Gordon Thorburn from Perth High School is this year’s winner. Gordon has collated every SQA Chemistry exam paper since the 1960s. He has contributed to a high Chemistry uptake in the school, trains new staff, and is a very popular teacher to boot!
