NQ Verification - Change of Team Supporting You

As you know, SQA is totally committed to Continuous Improvement and, as part of this approach, the Operations Directorate recently undertook a review of how its activities and teams were aligned to ensure that we operate effectively and continue to provide a high level of service to our stakeholders and specifically our centres and you, our Appointees.

As part of this review, opportunities were identified which will be realised by focusing specific teams to support the verification activities for the main qualification types. A new team has been established in Dalkeith (NQ Verification and Visiting Examining) to support activities relating to NQ verification and, as of January 2011, they will assume responsibility for supporting all non-vocational NQ and Skills for Work activities. Support for HN and SV verification will remain with the Operations - HN & VQ team in Glasgow (headed up by Alastair Morton and Catherine Ward), as will vocational NQ for an interim period.

The new team in Dalkeith is managed by Anna Greig and report to Carole Cooney within the NQ Delivery:Assessment and Data Services business area of SQA. You may already know many of the team as in a previous life they supported Quality Assurance Events and provided support around Visiting Examining - they will continue to support Visiting Examining along with NQ Verification.

The Dalkeith and Glasgow based teams have been working closely together to ensure a smooth handover of NQ Verification activities and both teams are fully committed to providing you with the same high level of support and assistance.
