Introduction to Craft Projects

Craft Projects is an online exhibition of the work of recent candidates which aims to share inspiration and ideas with centres and candidates who are embarking on the Practical Craft Skills and Craft & Design Courses.

Craft Projects provides a reference library of ideas for artefacts that could be used to meet the requirements of these Courses. It does not attempt to exemplify the National Standard of the Courses or candidate grades/achievement.

SQA would like to offer centres the opportunity to contribute to this exhibition by sharing work that their candidates have produced for these Courses. If you would like to submit candidate work that you feel may be inspiring to students embarking on these Courses, please complete the appropriate pro-forma and e-mail it to along with a clear photograph of each artefact. Full details and pro-formas are available to download from the relevant information section on this page.

Please note, you must obtain permission from each candidate prior to submitting images of their work or other information to Craft Projects.
