Why do I need to know about the SCQF?

The SCQF can help learners to negotiate their way through the lifelong learning journey. They need to know that they can use their SCQF credit points towards new qualifications, and that there are different paths they can take. For example, many candidates who have achieved an HND have used this credit towards a degree - instead of entering a university in year 1 they have entered in year 2 or 3. This will become even more important as more and more qualifications are included in the framework.
