Archived Information for Care Scotland will appear on this page.
SQA has recently made some changes to the Scottish Qualifications Certificate (SQC) and a guide explaining these changes has been sent to SQA Co-ordinators at all SQA approved centres.
The main point we would like to bring to your attention is the information about the Scottish Credit and Qualifications Framework (SCQF). The SCQF is simply a way of describing qualifications and comparing them with one another.
In addition to the Group Award commemorative certificate, there is also a summary of attainment. This section lists all the Group Awards, Courses and Units achieved (after 1994). In addition, the detailed record of attainment provides more information about the qualifications achieved. The SCQF level and credit value will be noted on this section.
In light of this change, we have decided to remove the word 'Certificate' from the title of the above award.
If you have any queries regarding this or any other issue, please do not hesitate to contact Care Scotland Team who will be happy to assist.
Additional mapping exercises have been carried out between SVQ Registered Managers Award and SVQ Health and Social Care level 4.
This information can be found under the Registered Managers Health and Social Care level 4.
SQA have been commissioned by some of the Learning Networks in Scotland to develop a Practice Learning Qualification at SCQF levels 7, 9 and 10. The development process requires SQA to convene a Qualifications Design Team (QDT) to oversee the development of the award. Minutes of the QDT meetings can be obtained via links below:
