This section of the website is maintained by the Research and Information Section of SQA Accreditation. The Research and Information section has two clear work streams: a research function and an information and statistics function.
The research function is responsible for informing and driving the operations of SQA Accreditation while the information and statistics function focuses on providing statistics and information about the qualifications market. Furthermore, the Information function provides up-to-date information about accredited qualifications. Together the two functions provide an overview of the qualifications sector by documenting skills gaps and qualification availability, analysing trends and reporting on the key players in the industry.
The Accreditation function is quite distinct from SQA’s awarding function and as such, we have responsibility for reporting across the sector and for a range of
awarding bodies. For SQA Awarding Body specific statistics and research please see Business Intelligence Services.
