Standards
This SVQ is based on standards developed by Skills For Health.

The first code (6 digits) indicates the SQA Unit code. The code in brackets indicates the National Occupational Standards Unit code.

Structure of the SVQ
The way the SVQ is made up is shown below. The Unit title appears in bold.

To achieve the SVQ level 3, candidates are required to complete TEN Units, at least two Core Units, at least two General Clinical/Therapeutic Activities Units, at least three Units to be taken from the Pathway specific competences and the further three units required may be selected from any of the lists below or the Work Effectiveness Units.

Core Units - You must select at least 2 of these units


Optional Units

Clinical/Therapeutic Activities Units - You must select at least 2 of these units


Pathway Specific Units – You must select at least 3 of these units


Work Effectiveness Units – Your final 3 units can be selected from any of the above or alternatively from any of the following units
