Base Maps for Assessment

SQA tries to use the same base maps in both internal and external Unit assessments. The scale of these maps may change from time to time to ensure that the map can be set out in an appropriate way for the question.

These maps are downloadable and may be used by centres for their own assessments or as a teaching and learning resource for candidates. Centres should be aware that, occasionally, a different map may be used but this will only happen where the nature of the question requires this.
