Partnership of the Year

John Wheatley College and Glasgow City Council won the Partnership of the Year award.  Their combined approach allowing the college’s ten local secondary schools to coordinate their timetables in order to give pupils access to a series of new vocational qualifications at the college impressed the judges.  To date over 300 young people have benefitted from new courses in construction, retail, health care and hospitality.  Evaluation of the programme has shown more learners are staying for the duration of their course and attaining qualifications.

The Forth Valley College Science Baccalaureate Partnership and the Time for Change Partnership between Up to Us and Oilean were both highly commended.
