Group Award Validation
Producing a Validation Proposal Document
The Validation Proposal Document should include all the evidence required to show that SQA’s Quality Element Criteria for validation have been met. These are detailed in Appendix 3. It is not necessary to have a separate document for each Group Award, eg an HNC and an HND in the same subject would be in the same document as they are part of the same suite of Group Awards. The Validation Proposal Document should follow this format:
- National Occupational Standards
- Core Skills
- Approaches to delivery and assessment
- Guidance for candidates
- Unit and Graded Unit specifications
- Supporting evidence
